The Supreme Council of Magistrates decided to submit a decision concerning the confirmation of a number of judges in posts to President Nicolae Timofti for approval, IPN reports.
The Council accepted the applications of a number of judges to be confirmed in posts. The applicants are: Vladimir Rusnac, of the Cimislia Court; Oleg Moraru, of the Glodeni Court; Petru Vacula, of the Leova Court; Vitalie Mironov, of the Sangerei Court, and Marina Curtis, of the Taraclia Court.
The Council also postponed the examination of a number of applications regarding the confirmation in the post of judge so as to additionally examine the additional information to the files of Anatolie Galben, of the Rascani Court, Constantin Damaschin, of the Botanica Court, and Victor Ratoi, of the Buiucani Court.
In the same meeting, the Council decided to field Aurelia Plesca for the post of judge, which will be held until she reaches age limit. Her appointment is to be endorsed by President Nicolae Timofti. A similar application filed by judge Vitalie Derevenco, of the Comrat Court, wasn’t accepted by the Council as the applicant didn’t garner the necessary number of votes.
