Head of state names his representatives in commission for checking income and property statements
Moldova's Acting President Mihai Ghimpu issued a presidential decree, designating his representatives in the central commission for checking the income and property statements. These are: jurist and lawyer of the Bar Association of Moldova Ion Casian, doctor habilitate, university lecturer of the Academy of Economic Studies Rodica Hancu, and senior consultant of the Presidential Apparatus Vladislav Poghirca, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting an official communique.
The central commission for checking the income and property statements is composed of nine members. Three of them represent the Parliament, three the President and three the Government
The Government's representatives in the commission are: Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase, Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta and director of the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime Viorel Chetraru.
The Parliament will name its representatives in the commission next week, at the first sitting of the spring session.
Under the legislation, the income and property statements are submitted by January 30 every year.
The statements presented by the President of Moldova, the MPs, the members of the Cabinet, the president of the Constitutional Court, the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, the prosecutor general, the head of the Audit Office, the governor of the National Bank, the director of the Security and Information Service, mayors and heads of district councils are published on the official websites and in the national or local press within 30 days of the expiration of the statement submission deadline.
