President Nicolae Timofti, in the discussions with the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party on November 5, requested that they should reach the consensus needed to form a pro-European government, in accordance with the will of the majority of people expressed in the parliamentary elections of last November, IPN reports.
After today’s discussions, the head of state, on November 9, will initiate consultations with the parliamentary groups with a view to designating a candidate for premiership.
The negotiations on the formation of a parliamentary majority continue. The PLDM refused to take part in them, while the PDM has discussions with the PL, the unaffiliated MPs of the group of Iurie Leanca and with the Communists.
