President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree to award the Order of the Republic to the President of Romanian Klaus Iohannis, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, the award was conferred in gratitude for special contribution to developing and strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between Romania and Moldova and for the support offered to Moldova in its European integration efforts.
