Speaker Andrian Candu will pay a visit to Sweden on February 8-10 at the invitation of his Sweden counterpart Urban Ahlin, IPN reports.

According to the Parliament’s press service, Andrian Candu’s visit to Stockholm is aimed at developing the cooperation relations between the legislatures of the two states. Sweden is among the top countries donating to Moldova, including at parliamentary level.

The Speaker will have meetings with King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Head of Parliament Urban Ahlin and Deputy Speakers Björn Söder and Esabelle Dingizian. He will also have discussions with officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce and Innovation, the Ministry of Culture and Democracy, the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and of the County Council.

Andrian Candu will also visit the Stockholm School of Economics and the Institute for Security and Development Policy, where he will discuss Sweden’s best practices in promoting sustainable economic development with researchers and experts.
