The head of the municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari will stay under arrest. The Appeals Court on October 8 rejected the lawyer’s request to quash the decision of the Ciocana District Court of Chisinau by which an arrest warrant for 30 days was issued against the functionary, IPN reports.

Efim Cheptanari told the press that he is not guilty, while the accusations made against him should be yet proved.

The director of “Exdrupo” was placed under arrest for 30 days based on a criminal case started by the Ciocana Prosecutor’s Office in February. He is accused of committing irregularities, together with two economic entities, when purchasing and laying slabs in yards of apartment buildings of Chisinau municipality in 2014-2015.
