The Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova Dirk Schuebel completed his duties. He will be replaced by Pirkka Tapiola, IPN reports.

According to a press release from the EU Delegation, Pirkka Tapiola is currently an advisor in the European External Action Service on developments in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and has also worked as senior advisor at the Council of the EU.

The new head will take up duty in November 2013. Dirk Schuebel was named to this post in 2009.
