The head of Ciocana district of Chisinau Galina Bostan and deputy head Anatolie Portnoi were fired based on orders made by acting mayor general Silvia Radu on March 15, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the functionaries were discharged following an inspection carried out in the district on March 14, within the spring cleanup campaign. Silvia Radu expressed her dissatisfaction with the fact that the head and deputy head didn’t deal with the multiple complaints submitted by people living in the district.

Galina Bostan had held the post of head of Ciocana district for 11 years.
