He tried to start a fire in the stove with gasoline and ended up with second- and third-degree burns on the upper part of his body and face, while the room where he was located caught fire. The incident occurred on Thursday in the village of Mărăndeni, Florești district, IPN reports.

The 35-year-old man was evacuated by a group of people before the firefighters arrived, and then he was taken by the emergency medical team and transported to Floresti Regional Hospital.

After receiving the 112 call, a team of firefighters and rescuers arrived at the scene of the fire. Upon arrival, they found that a utility building with an area of 18 square meters was on fire.

Violation of fire safety rules during the use of the heating stove is believed to have been the cause of the fire. The exact cause and circumstances of the case will be determined by the relevant authorities.

IGSU specialists repeatedly urge people to strictly follow stove usage regulations. IGSU warns the public that starting a fire in stoves by sprinkling gasoline, diesel, or other flammable liquids is strictly prohibited.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been 64 fires, resulting in four deaths.
