The Balti Court of Appeals sentenced a 32-year-old man from Falesti district to 14 years in jail for killing his mother, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Prosecutor General's Office. According to the prosecutors, being under the influence of alcohol the man beat to death his mother in the parental house. Initially, the man got 10 years under article 151, paragraph 4 of the Penal Code, intentional acts that cause bodily injuries, but the prosecutor appealed the decision and the man was sentenced to 14 years' imprisonment under article 145, paragraph 2, intentional murder.
