The town Hancesti will be 100% illuminated within a 5 million lei project. The local public authorities will contribute 25% of the necessary money, while the rest of the sum will be allocated from the Energy Efficiency Fund.
Interviewed by IPN, Mayor of Hancesti Alexandru Botnari said the town is now only 70% lit. The project will allow not only to extend the wiring, but also to replace all the old street lights with LED lamps. The whole town will be illuminated by LED lamps only.
The mayor stated that owing to the LED lamps, the local authorities will manage to economize on electricity. The full lighting of the town by LED lamps will cost about 100,000 lei a month. The same costs are now incurred for lighting only 70% of the town.
