Half of candidates fail BAC exam retakes
Of the almost 3,000 candidates who retook BAC tests during the auxiliary session, more than half flunked, and one third barely passed. Meanwhile, 18 papers were annulled due to candidates’ breaches of the examination rules. Those who failed will have to wait for the 2013 BAC session, reports Info-Prim Neo, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Education.
43 papers were graded with 9s and 10s. Adrian Ghicov, head of the Evaluation and Examination Agency, claims that this year’s results reflect the reality of the Moldovan high-school education. The Ministry of Education gave its best to exclude the possibility of cheating, using electronic filters for finding mobile phones.
The method proved to be efficient and, surely, will be taken into account during the elaboration of the new concept of BAC examination, which will become effective starting with the 2013 session.
