Heavy rains with hail and wind last Sunday caused damage to roofs and crops in multiple communities in the country, with several local roads also damaged by rainwater, IPN learned from the Emergencies Service.

In particular, two bridges and 2.5 kilometers of local road were damaged in Tartaul village, Cantemir district. In Craciun village, gusty winds tore parts of roofs from residential houses. In Lingura, the bad weather affected 2 kilometers of local road.

Over 25 hectares of vineyard were damaged in Antonesti village, which was battered by hail. Roofs were damaged in the villages of Alexanderfeld and Rosu. In Radoaia, Singerei district, the storm tore a part of the roof from a grain silo.

The emergencies commissions are now evaluating the damage.
