Hadarca’s Liberals will vote for Vlad Filat as PM

The seven Liberal MPs who detached themselves from Mihai Ghimpu will vote for Vlad Filat as Prime Minister, Ion Hadarca announced after the consultations held with the Premier designate, IPN reports.

Ion Hadarca said that a misty page in the history of Moldovan politics was turned. ”We can now say with certitude that we managed to avoid the early elections and to maintain Moldova’s European course. Our participation in governance is rather an accomplished act. The formation of the new government is a procedural matter and will be discussed when we will edit the new agreement,” stated the MP.

Vlad Filat said it is premature to speak about posts and ministries, but a new agreement will be signed, which will lay down new government principles.

The other five members of the Liberal parliamentary group, including the Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu, said they will not vote for Vlad Filat and, if the candidate polls the necessary number of votes in Parliament, the PL will switch to the opposition.
