The International Music Festival “Gustar” is starting today in its traditional location, on the banks of the river Raut in the natural and cultural heritage reserve Old Orhei. The two-day event, according to organizers, is an occasion to “celebrate summer, life and the riches of our land, by dancing to incendiary rhythms of ethno tunes”.
Besides music, the Festival offers a camping zone, food courts and lots of entertainment, such as yoga, twister, frisbee, football, cliff climbing, hiking, archery, planetarium shows, and much more.
Historic field trips to visit Geto-Dacian sites will also be offered, in both Romanian and English.
Today’s lineup includes The B-Groove (Moldova), Via Dacă (Moldova), Freedom Boombox (United States), Gândul Mâței (Moldova), and Koza Mostra (Greece). The Czech-American band N.O.H.A. will be today’s headliners.
The program will continue today late at night with an acoustic music gig in the camping zone, featuring Laurențiu Coțaga and Xenia Chitoroagă.
Tomorrow’s program will also include improv theater and orienteering, among other events.
Sunday’s lineup includes Karafizi & The Roof (Moldova), Freedom Boombox (United States), The Motans (Moldova), Spitalul de Urgență (Romania), Zdob și Zdub (Moldova), with the German mambo musician Lou Bega as the headliner.
Tickets cost 150 lei and can be bought online on the Festival’s website, in the TopShop network, and at the entrances into the Festival’s site.
