The minimum guaranteed salary in the real sector of the national economy will be 1,400 lei from May 1, up 100 lei, IPN reports.
Acting Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said that the guaranteed minimum pay is set annually, depending on the rise in the consumer price index and the growth rate of output (labor productivity) at national level.
According to calculations, the minimum salary must be 1,380 lei. But representatives of the employers, in a meeting of the commission for collective consultations and negotiations, accepted the salary to be raised to 1,400 lei.
