The Cabinet made changes to the law on groups of agricultural producers and associations of agricultural producers and excluded the notarial authentication and other conditions that, according to farmers, bureaucratized the procedure for obtaining financial support. This will be provided during the first five years of activity of the group of producers, IPN reports.
The bill specifies the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture’s powers to regulate the conditions for setting up groups of producers and for recognizing these. It also defines the responsibilities of producers as members of the working group.
During the first year, the support will represent 15% of the values of the sold production for groups specialized in the production and sale of products of animal origin and 13% for groups specialized in vegetal production. During the next years, the percentage will be reduced and will be 7% and, respectively, 5% for the fifth year. The highest annual support will not exceed 1.5 million lei per group of producers.
