A group of inhabitants of Orhei town submitted a petition to the Broadcasting Coordination Council, asking that channel Jurnal TV should be closed.

The petition was submitted amid a protest staged in front of the Council’s building, where the inhabitants of Orhei accused the TV channel of erroneous and tendentious informing over subjects whose protagonist is the mayor of Orhei Ilan Shor.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the Council’s General Licensing, Authorization and Monitoring Division Dorina Curnic said the petition is to be examined in a public meeting of the Council.
