Group of political activists from Chisinau join PDM

A number of political activists, former members of the Buiucani local organization of the People’s Power Party, announced that they decided to join the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM). The announcement was made by Alexandru Robu, former head of the Buiucani local organization of the People’s Power Party, IPN reports.

“Such a decision was taken based on several important points. First of all, the PDM is now in power and has a solid team. For the first time in 23 years of democracy, a party held a democratic exercise – the September 28 primary of the PDM to choose candidates for seats of MP,” said Alexandru Robu, quoted in a communiqué of the party. He added that the PDM is open to new members and forms a united and powerful team.

The head of the Chisinau Municipal Organization of the PDM, ICT Minister Pavel Filip welcomed the newcomers. “This is a positive sign. The coming of new members shows that the PDM is an attractive party that became attractive by deeds, not by words only. While in power, we achieved concrete results,” he stated.

The leader of the Democrats in Chisinau announced that more people will join the Democratic Party soon. “I know that there are colleagues willing to join our party. In the PDM there are no simple or special and privileged members. We are all equal and form a united team. We proved this in time,” said Pavel Filip.

The new members were issued with membership cards.
