Ex-MP Grigore Petrenko called on the candidates of the opposition Maia Sandu, Andrei Nastase and Dmitrii Chubashenko to withdraw from the presidential race because they have no chance of winning. The call was made in the talk show “Interpol” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
“The opposition still can abandon the race. I mean Maia Sandu, Andrei Nastase and Dmitrii Chubashenko. The PSRM is not in the opposition. Dodon cooperates with Plahotniuc. The scenario was planned. They will do their utmost for Lupu and Dodon to compete in the runoff. No matter who is elected in the second round, this will anyway be Plahotniuc’s man. The people should go to vote and spoil the ballot so that their vote is not stolen,” said Petrenko.
The former Communist MP accused Vladimir Plahotniuc of being one of the organizers of the April 7, 2009 protests. “Plahotniuc attempted a coup. He then didn’t have so much influence and used persons with influence. Those who held responsible posts in that period now form part of his company. Reshetnikov joined the parliamentary alliance. Zubic ensures the security of Plahotniuc’s hotels. General Mejinski also works for Plahotniuc. Constantin Tutu, who directed the instigators, became an MP on behalf of the Democratic Party,” he stated.
According to Petrenko, Vladimir Voronin helped Plahotniuc to privatize Codru Gotel at derisory prices. “There were different opinions on the privatization of the hotel, but Voronin had influence. He insisted and his word was law,” said the ex-MP.
