Grenoble St closed to vehicle traffic for three days

The section of Grenoble St between the streets Nicolae Testemiţanu and Gheorghe Asachi will be inaccessible to vehicle traffic between June 29 and July 1. During this period, trolleybus route No. 17 will be suspended, while the other trolleybuses will be diverted.

The Chisinau City Hall said that the measure was taken in connection with the necessity of carrying out extensive repair works on the sewer pipe following damage caused to the water and sewerage network.

Contacted by IPN for details, spokeswoman for the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Felicia Rusu said that trolleybuses No. 2 will run from Traian Blvd along Dacia Blvd, București St, A. Pushkin St and further on the established route. Route No. 17 will be suspended, while route No. 9 will be supplemented with transport units.

Also, the buses running on route No. 8 will travel from N. Testemitanu St along Grenoble St and on Traian Blvd will turn on the technological route. They will return along Grenoble St, on N. Testemitanu St and further on the established route.

Drivers are urged to comply with the requirements of the traffic police and to show patience and discipline in traffic.
