Gregoris Xenophontos will be extradited
Gregoris Xenophontos, who is suspected of killing Greek media magnate Andy Hadjicosti, will be extradited to Cyprus. A decision to this effect was taken by the Buiucani district court on July 29, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Prosecutor General's Office.
The decision will take effect in 10 days. Meanwhile, Gregoris Xenophontos can appeal it to the Chisinau Court of Appeals. Gregoris Xenophontos had been hiding and was arrested at his wife's house in Balti town on June 14.
The Cypriot authorities were then asked to prepare and submit the extradition documents within the terms provided in the European Convention on Extradition.
