Greetings Chisinau Festival to be held July 14-17

The Moldovan capital will host a four-day festival dedicated to the 587th anniversary of the earliest public record of Chisinau. The Greetings Chisinau Festival will take place during July 14-17, with the Eugen Doga pedestrian street as its main location.

The festival will be inaugurated on Friday together with the Advahov Brothers Orchestra, Zinaida Julea, Fuego, Gabriel Nebunu, Maria Iliuț and Crenguța de Iederă, Nicolae Gribincea and Plăiesii.

On July 15, there will be a classical music concert by the Municipal Chamber Orchestra “Camerata Chisinau”, conducted by Cristian Spătaru, and with Natalia Tanasiiciuc, Igor Țurcanu, and Igor Podgoreanu as soloists. The famed composer Eugen Doga himself will have a cameo appearance at the concert.

On Sunday, July 16, there will be a pop music concert featuring DARA, Satoshi, Misha Miller, Radu Dolgan, Ana Cernicova, Vladimir Fotescu, Aliona Triboi, Gicu Cimbir, Ana Odobescu, AVANTI Orchestra and Vladimir Fotescu etc.

The special guest of the Festival is the Romanian pop star Andra.

On Monday, July 17, the 587th anniversary of Chisinau will be celebrated in Mihai Eminescu Square. The program includes book launches, poetry, music, painting and film screenings.
