The Green Ecologist Party’s candidate for the post of mayor general of Chisinau municipality Anatolie Prohnitski considers that the municipal First House Program is a ghetto for young families. In the morning of June 10, sympathizers of the party went to the construction site located at 2 Ghioceilor St, where an apartment building is being erected within this program, to draw attention to the deficient infrastructure, IPN reports.

Anatolie Prohnitski said the place earmarked for the construction is not suitable. The access ways are very narrow, while the area from near the block does not allow building parking places and playgrounds.

The candidate said the women with children will be unable to move along the narrow streets that will become crowded when the dwellers move here. There is no crèche or nursery nearby. “The young people are treated with disrespect and are forced to live in a blind alley. But they are our future and should have the dwellings they deserve. They created not the First House for young people, but a ghetto, even if there are enough places in the municipality of Chisinau where to build such blocks,” stated Anatolie Prohnitski.

He also said that such a situation is the result of the activity of the Chisinau Municipal Council that voted packages of even 40 matters without examining them thoroughly.
