The number of calls to the green line of the National Health Insurance Company doubled last year compared with a year before, exceeding 21,000. Though most of the calls were requests for information, in over 500 cases the people made complains. Last year the Company received about 600 petitions submitted through email, mail and the online petitions system, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Company, the number of complaints from the people rose five times compared with 2014. The green line was in greater demand in the first quarter of 2015, when the fixed mandatory health insurance policy is paid. The complaints referred mainly to the access and quality of the provided medical services and to the provision with compensated drugs.
The Company recommends the people to call the free green line 0 800 99999 to find out more information about the mandatory health insurance system and how to correctly access the medical services included in the Common Program of Mandatory Medical Assistance Insurance, compensated drugs, etc.
After the complaints are filed, the operators of the telephonic service contact the persons who are responsible for the cooperation with the green line of the National Health Insurance Company at the contracted medical and pharmaceutical institutions to solve the given problems.
