Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanii tabled Monday the resignation of the current governmental team set up on March 31, 2008, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Greceanii thanked the outgoing President Vladimir Voronin for the permanent support offered to the Government. She said that during the last few years and after the investiture of the present Government, there was set the course towards a sustainable development and this objective remains a major one during the world economic crisis.
“We have a lot of things to do. I’m sure that we will show the same team spirit and responsibility towards our people and will manage to cope with these challenges as we did before, during the last eight years,” Zinaida Greceanii said.
She thanked the deputy prime ministers and ministers and, in their name, the employees of the central public authorities for the responsible attitude they showed during this period. She also thanked the social partners, employers, trade unions and civil society “for their enormous contribution towards ensuring better governance.”
“Evidently, we could achieve more, but we faced different objective and less objective problems. It is yet certain that all the major goals set out in the government program “Progress and Integration” have been achieved together with the commitments made in the electoral platform for 2005,” Zinaida Greceanii said.
President Vladimir Voronin said that what was happening at the Government’s meeting was a constitutional act that shows Moldova’s democratic capacities. He also said that during eight years changes have been made in all the spheres of life and the areas of activity and congratulated the Government, thanking them for their accomplishments.
