Vehicle traffic in the center of Chisinau will be suspended from Friday, August 25, from 8 PM, until the end of Independence Day festivities on August 27.
In particular, vehicle traffic will be suspended on the stretch of Ştefan cel Mare Boulevard encompassed between the streets Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin.
On August 27, when Moldova celebrates its 32nd anniversary of Independence, a series of cultural artistic events will take place in the capital. The festivities will begin with flower-laying ceremonies at the monument of Stephen the Great and the Sorrowful Mother Memorial. The inauguration ceremony of the Independence Day Festivities will begin in the Great National Assembly Square at 10:00 AM and will be attended by top official leaders.
