Great Britain supports the European ambition of Moldova, Sylvia Heal, Deputy Speaker of the UK Parliament, stated yesterday in her speech delivered in Moldova’s Parliament, as well as during joint press statements with Speaker Marian Lupu. In this context, the UK official stressed the importance of promoting democratic reforms, a difficult but necessary task. For his part, Lupu stated that Moldova treats the United Kingdom as a strategic partner both in what concerns bilateral relations and Moldova’s European integration process. According to the Speaker, a new parliamentary delegation from Moldova will pay a visit to London at the beginning of the next year with the view to strengthening Moldova-UK ties and intensifying inter-parliamentary relations.
