Grapes up 10 lei this week
The prices of grapes surged 10 lei during one week. The hike is explained by the fact the the vine growers have disappeared from wholesale markets, as the grapes are sold only by merchants who kept them in fridges, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a research by the Agroinform Federation, the grape prices are steadily rising, as the time gets cold, the local offer is low, while the products from Turkey and Bulgaria are huge. Compared with the last week, the prices of white grapes rose 4-9 lei this week, and 10-13 lei for red grapes.
Now the grape prices vary from 11 and 23 lei.
90% of the merchants selling grapes are in Chisinau. The offer is small in Balti town. The research shows not so many wholesale deals are made on the markets from Cahul, Edinet and Ungheni.
