The 7th edition of the National Grape Festival, the largest event dedicated to table grape producers, will take place on Sunday, August 25, in Cimişlia, IPN reports.

According to Cimişlia district administration, the festival will take place on the central boulevard of the town, where exhibition stands will be set up. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste as well as buy grapes. Also, crafts exhibitions, a gastronomy fair and a school fair will be organized.

The event will be attended by producers of grapes and planting material for vineyards, suppliers of plant protection products and fertilizers, craftsmen.

Within the framework of the event, "Giant Grape" contest will also be held. It has been organized since 2016. Then a grape of 3.8 kilograms became the winner. The best winemakers will be awarded prizes at "The most delicious grapes" and "The best presentation of producers at the Festival" contests. Also, "The best presentation of craftsmen at the Festival" contest will be held.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, co-organizer, will hold the "Golden Vine" competition. After the prizes are awarded, the Festival will continue with an artistic program, supported by "Rapsozii" popular music orchestra.

The National Grape Festival will start at 10.00.
