The Support to Confidence Building Measures Program offers grants to start businesses to young people who live in the Security Zone. There will be selected 75 persons who will benefit from intensive training in working out business plans, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Program, the grants are intended for people aged between 18 and 35, especially women and socially disadvantaged persons, who live in the districts Floresti, Soldanesti, Rezina, Orhei, Criuleni, Dubasari, Anenii Noi, Causeni, and Stefan Voda.

Afterward, an expert commission will select the best 15 projects. The authors will receive grants of up to €13,500, assistance in starting the business and individual counseling during 14 months.

The project is implemented in partnership with the Business Consulting Institute. The application form is available on www.bci.md. The deadline for applications is October 15.

Launched in 2009, the Support to Confidence Building Measures Program is financed by the European Union and is implemented by the United Nations Development Program.
