Grants for SCOs on both banks of the Nistru River

The European Union offers support to the Civil Society Organizations (SCOs) from both banks of the Nistru River. The interested organizations are invited to submit project proposals with high impact on further CSO development on both banks in such areas as health, social, environmental protection, education, sport and local development. The deadline for applications is February 25, IPN reports.

The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova noted that the program aims to contribute to an environment of trust and cooperation across the Nistru River, generating new perspectives on shared interests for people from both banks, responding to their development needs and post-Covid recovery necessities.

The assistance is provided in the framework of the Small Grants Program 2022 under the European Union’s “Confidence Building Measures Program 5” that is implemented by UNDP Moldova.  Those interested are asked to register by February 1.

The EU also offers grants to support the youth. The EU4Youth has announced a new call for project proposals for developing the digital skills of the young people, skills for the green transition and for improving entrepreneurial and career management skills. The deadline for submissions is March 14. An informative session will be held on February 8.
