Grain harvest larger than last year
The grain and legumes harvest this year is by about 8% larger than last year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the National Bureau of Statistics.
The wheat yield this year was 23.5 quintals per hectare, while the legumes harvest – 13.6 quintals per hectare.
The stone fruit crop increased by 17%, while the crop of barley, seed fruit and rape fell by 6%, 17% and 21% respectively
The analysis of the crops of agricultural associations and farms shows that the grain and legumes harvest in the development region North is the largest – 25.5 quintals per hectare, except for corn. In the other development regions, this figure varies between 18.2 and 19.4 quintals.
