The students who want to take the Baccalaureate exams and passed internationally recognized exams for having the linguistic skills in foreign languages certified will get the grade ‘10’ automatically in the foreign language Baccalaureate exam. The relevant methodology was approved by the National Exams Commission of the Ministry of Education, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry of Education says that the given students must possess a certificate showing linguistic proficiency equal to or higher than the level B2 (C1 for students of classes studying in another language than the Romanian one), which meets the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The foreign language exam on which the student wants to get ‘10’ must coincide with the exam in the foreign language indicated in the application for taking the Baccalaureate exams, namely English, French, German, Italian or Spanish. These five languages are currently studied in the national education institutions.
The students who possess certificates obtained after passing internationally recognized exams must submit the certificate in the original, an application asking to be given ‘10’ in the foreign language exam, a copy of the identity card and three copies of the given certificate/diploma to the administration of the education institution by April 10.
