Govt. reshuffles Road Fund
The Cabinet has redistributed the means in the 2008 Road Fund, Info-Priim Neo reports. Officials say the new priorities refer to the running maintenance of public roads, and the reshuffle was triggered at local authorities' requests.
Out of those 199.3 million lei, 131.69 million lei will be used to repair and maintain public roads. 10 million lei will be allocated to ensure road safety, marking roads, to replace traffic signs, 8 million lei -- to plant trees along roads, 19 million lei -- to maintain roads in winter, etc.
62,19 million lei will be earmarked to re-build roads.
The roads to be repaired are: Soroca-Drochia-Costesti-Romanian border (5 km), Donduseni-Drochia-Pelinia (3 km), Tudora-Palanca-Ukrainian border (3.2 km), Radenii Vechi-Bahmut (4 km), Basarabeasca-Ciadar Lunga (8.5 km), Gotesti-Tartaul (3 km), etc.
Some 10 million lei are allocated to finance the Auto Transport National Agency.
