{paragraph 4 added} The Government has endorsed the distribution of financial resources provided in the state budget, totaling 198.33 million lei, to increase the salaries of the employees of the institutions financed from the budgets of the administrative-territorial units, Info-Prim Neo reports. In 2009, gradual salary increases for some categories of budget earners are provided: on January 1, April 1, July 1, September 1 and October 1. Minister of finances Mariana Durlesteanu has said that those 198.33 million lei are provided for implementing the second stage of increasing the salaries of the staffs, including those in managing offices, starting with April 1. 467 million lei were distributed in the first stage – January 1. The salaries of 58,000 state employees will be raised. The actual salaries will go up 271 – 288 lei (16.6%). According to a governmental decision, after all increases made in the provided terms, the average salary of a teacher will reach 3,150 lei.
