The Government decided to allocate 3 million lei from its Interventions Fund to repair the roofing of the Stefan cel Mare Lyceum in the northern city of Balti, IPN reports.
The government intervention comes after portions of ceiling collapsed in several classrooms, disrupting classes in the lyceum. The local authorities were able to find part of the money for some repairs, but the municipal budget couldn’t cover all costs, and the central government was asked to help.
The Stefan cel Mare Lyceum has 608 students.
