Regardless of the political orientation of the team ruling the country, this team has to cope with the realities and resolve practically the same important problems faced by the people, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to Lazar, some of the priorities contained in the Moldova 2020 National Development Strategy that was adopted in Parliament in the first reading last week and in other documents and programs of the current Cabinet can be found in the strategic documents and programs formulated by the previous teams of the executive, including the Communist government that is now criticizing them vehemently. “Irrespective of the political orientation, the government that comes to power in Moldova will have to be down-to-earth. If is does not want to, the development partners will demand this from it. The example of the Communist government is relevant in this respect. They had different ideas during two-three years, but then realized it and became more ... liberal as regards the economic policies,” said Lazar. He also said that the previous National Development Strategy also envisioned optimizing the number of schools, diversifying the services provided for the population, reducing the human factor in the relations with the state institutions and eliminating corruption, improving the tax and customs regimes, creating good work conditions for the entrepreneurs, and attracting investments. “The problems are the same and they should be solved. The people do not judge a government by its political orientation, but by the results achieved by it, including the rise in pensions and allowances and the improvements in education, healthcare, the business sector and all the other areas of activity,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
