Governments of Moldova and Romania to hold joint meeting
The Romanian and Moldovan Governments will convene a joint meeting in June. The announcement was made by Romania's Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi after a meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca in Bucharest on March 16, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The newspaper Romania Libera quoted Mediafax news agency as saying that Teodor Baconschi informed the two Governments will have a join meeting early in June. He also said that the Romanian authorities also intend to simultaneously hold an economic forum.
According to Teodor Baconschi, the Moldovan authorities should popularize the priorities of the privatization process that may include both Romanian companies and foreign companies working in Romania.
Iurie Leanca is paying a two-day visit to Bucharest at the invitation of Teodor Baconschi. It is the first visit by a high-ranking Moldovan official to Romania after the legislative elections of November 28, 2010.
The Moldovan minister will also have meetings with the President of Romania Traian Basescu and Prime Minister Emil Boc. The program of the visit includes a working meeting with the EU Ambassadors to Moldova based in Bucharest.
