The Government decided to set up a working group that will investigate the situation at the Chisinau-based kindergarten No. 13, where five children developed acute diarrheal diseases. The group will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega, IPN reports.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip asked to thoroughly examine the situation, given this case and other cases related to the delivery of food products of a poor quality to schools and kindergartens, and to consider legislative proposals for making those who supply food products, compile and control the menus and the quality of food served to children more responsible.
Five cases of acute diarrheal diseases among children were reported at kindergarten No. 113 of Chisinau municipality. During December 7 – 13, four children became ill with acute gastroenteritis and a child suffered food poisoning. The sick children are aged between two and six.
