Government will insist on guaranteeing free movement of students over Nistru

The Government of Moldova will make effort to support the Moldovan schools situated in the Transnistrian region and will insist on guaranteeing the free movement of students and teachers, Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov said in a joint meeting with principals of the Moldovan schools from the Security Zone that teach based on the Latin script, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Reintegration Office. Eugen Carpov reiterated that the difficulties faced by these schools represented a permanent preoccupation on the agenda of the talks within all the formats of discussions and negotiations. The meeting focused on a number of organizational problems, including the provision of financial and logistic support for these schools. Eugen Carpov said the education institutions from the left bank of the Nistru that are managed by the Ministry of Education of Moldova received allocations of about 2 million lei within the program of country reintegration activities during September 2011 – July 2012.
