The Government will introduce additional categories to the existent basic categories of vehicles - AM, A1, A2, A, B1, BE, C1, C1E, CE, D1, D1E, D, DE, F, H, I. The driver’s licence will have a period of validity of ten years. It will be adjusted to the European standards by modifying the existent legislative framework on road security and motor vehicles. The national driving licences issued according to the model of the year 1995 will remain valid and could be replaced by new ones at the driver’s request. The adjustment of the national driving licence to the European standards and the introduction of the international licence will enable the motorists to travel freely inside the country and abroad. All these stipulations are contained in a new regulation concerning the driving licence, the organization and holding of the exam for obtaining driving licence and the admission to traffic. The regulation stipulates the requirements towards the driving licence, its form and content, the way of organizing and holding the exam for obtaining driving licence, the procedure for issuing licence and the conditions of admittance to traffic.
