The Government today decided to subsidize each new job created in 2018 with 40,000 lei, IPN reports.

Job creation will be supported specifically for men in the age category 18-25 years and 45+ years, and for women of all ages.

The subsidies will be offered to companies engaged in entrepreneurial activities, except for the fully or party state-owned ones.

Eligibility criteria include achieving a number of employees of 100 and greater, the employees in subsidized jobs must receive a salary of 75% of the average national salary or bigger, and the employer must have a good record of paying taxes on time.

The subventions for 2018 will be allocated in two installments over two years. The funds required are provided for in the mid-term budget framework. The amount of the subsidy will be indexed annually depending on the size of the average salary.
