The Government will stage a Christmas Fair on the occasion of the winter holidays and not only in Chisinau, but in ten more towns of the country, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița told a news conference on December 3.
The Premier said it will be a fair to promote national products. There will also be organized a series of concerts with traditional Christmas music. “The audience will consist exclusively of orphans and vulnerable persons. We are making effort to bring the Christmas joys to these people,” stated Natalia Gavrilița.
The Chisinau City Hall opened the winter holidays on December 1 by inaugurating the Christmas Tree in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral, behind the Triumphal Arch. A Christmas Town was also set up there. On the night between years, the recreational program will be broadcast by Teleradio Moldova. No concert will be held in the central square of Chisinau.
