The Government approved the allocation of US$71,000 for paying two law firms that will represent Moldova in a trial with Energoalians Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine and on the territory of the U.S., IPN reports.

In the June 16 meeting of the Cabinet, Minister of Justice Fadei Nagacevschi said the trial is pending in intentional arbitration courts. The successor of Energoalians filed a suit to have the decision taken by the ad-hoc Arbitration in Paris recognized on the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, the trail is also pending in Ukraine.

The law firm “Ceachir, Zamfir and Partners” was chosen to represent Moldova in Ukraine, in cooperation with a Ukrainian law firm.

Another trial to have the arbitrary decision recognized is taking place in the U.S. There, Moldova will be represented by the law firm “Burac and Associates”.

According to acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, attempts are made to cause damage to the state budget and all the actions should be taken to defend the interests of the state in this trial.
