Government to allocate land to build homes for doctors
The government will allocate two terrains in Chisinau, free of charge under the National Homes Service, part of the public state property, for the construction of blocks of flats designated for doctors working at the Oncology Institute and the Republican Clinical Hospital.
A terrain of 0.27 hectares is on V. Corolenco Street, bound to be used by the Oncology Institute. An additional 1.5 hectares on N. Testemiteanu Street will be given to the use of the Republican Clinic Hospital.
Previously, through another Government decision, the National Homes Service received an additional 0.7 hectares on N. Testemiteanu Str, 29, for planning and construction of blocks of flats for workers of the Republican Clinic Hospital. In the autumn of 2007, the plan is to open five blocks of flats, with a total of 180 apartments for the usage of medical workers.
In addition, in 2003, the Health Ministry was granted an unfinished building which was planned to be transformed into a block of 100 flats on V. Corolenco Street. The construction will end this summer, while the flats will be distributed for workers of the Oncology Institute.
