The Government allocated 4.7 million lei for organizing the European Moldova Assembly. The Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă said the executive covered the costs associated with logistics and the cultural program. From these funds, the Ministry of Culture made 2,000 flags of the EU and Moldova, which were disseminated through the State Chancellery to each locality of the country. Also, 40,000 bottles of water were distributed to participants in the event, IPN reports.

Daniel Vodă noted that the organizers rented 100 toilets, including for persons with disabilities, which were available in the central square of Chisinau. There were printed informative materials to combat disinformation and to provide first-hand information about the process of organizing the event. In total, 10,000 leaflets were printed and 8,000 posters were placed in public places and on rented billboards in the capital city and in regions.

More than 240,000 citizens followed the online broadcast through official digital accounts alone, except for the citizens who followed the event through the press. The rally was covered by the international press that produced hundreds of articles about the event.

At the rally, 28 persons asked for medical assistance and seven persons were taken to the hospital. The situation was under control and nothing unordinary happened. The Government didn’t spend any money for transporting participants or for providing them with food, as it was rumored.

Among other costs are those for renting and setting up the stage in the Great National Assembly Square and ensuring the necessary infrastructure around the Triumphal Arch and tents and also for the honoraria’s for the concert.

At the end of the European Moldova Assembly that involved over 75,000 people, the participants adopted a resolution by which they ask to establish the European integration desideratum in the Constitution, to open the accession negotiations with the EU and to improve the citizens’ quality of life.
