Government solicits EBRD’s assistance in implementing projects
Minister of Economy and Commerce Igor Dodon solicited the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development financial support of Moldova in implementing infrastructure, investment and private sector supporting projects.
On Wednesday, January 17 Dodon had a meeting with the expert team of the EBRD, who visited Chisinau in order to work out the Bank’s Assistance Strategy for Moldova in 2007-2009.

In the context, he estimated the signing of the contract for natural gas supply with the Russian Federation for 2006 to 2011 as a major success, which will ensure the predictability of the macroeconomic indicators for a 5 year period.
Refering to the resuming of exports to the Russian Federation, Igor Dodon specified that during the next week, the final expertise of both meat companies and wine factories will be operated by Russian specialists. He also mentioned that there is possibility that the exports of these products be resumed in late February.
