Government-run housing sector refuses district heating
The Municipality is dissatisfied with the fact that the Government-run housing sector is refusing to get connected to the district heating system.
Mihai Arusoi, the commercial manager of the heat distributor Termocom, stated at Monday’s City Hall meeting that the problem concerns in particular 70 blocks managed by the Moldova Railways. Arusoi claimed that the respective blocks do not get heat because the head of the Moldova Railways, Miron Gagauz, delays the signing of the authorisation on purpose.
Even though the respective blocks do not owe money to the heat distributor, the refusal to get connected causes big losses to Termocom, because it is compelled to supply heat to only two building in the district – a school and a kindergarten.
Today some 250 blocks of the existing 2,800 are still lacking heat in their radiators.
