Government restores practice of distributing summer camp tickets through trade unions
The Government has reestablished the practice of distributing summer camp tickets through trade unions. Under the regulations concerning the use of state budget resources for organizing the 2008 summer holidays, the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child will allocate 45% of the tickets for summer camps to the National Confederation of Trade Union of Moldova, which will distribute them to beneficiaries through the zonal trade union organizations, Info-Prim Neo reports.
50% of the tickets will be distributed to children from families on low incomes, one-parent families and families where the parents are disabled or pensioners, and to children that are under guardianship or live in family-type children’s homes and temporary accommodation centers. Earlier, 95% of the free tickets were offered to children from vulnerable families.
The rest of the tickets will be given to children that achieved good results at school or won Olympiads, according to the lists presented by the General Divisions of Education, Youth and Sports
A sum of 19.8 million lei was allocated from the state budget for organizing the summer holidays this year.
